Nikon announces Nikkor Z 800mm f / 6.3 VR S lens

With the introduction of the Nikkor Z 28-75mm f / 2.8 lens, Nikon announced the development of the Nikkor Z 800mm f / 6.3 VR S lens. It is a super telephoto prime lens designed for full-frame (Nikon FX) Nikon Z mirrorless cameras. to the S-Line, which brings together high-end models.

The manufacturer does not provide technical data for the lens, but says that it uses a PF (Phase Fresnel) element or a Fresnel lens, due to which it is possible to reduce the size and weight of the lens. Nikon has already used such an element in lenses before. For example, the AF-S Nikkor 500mm f / 5.6E PF ED VR lens released in 2018 (which is shown in the illustration).

The manufacturer is still silent about the release date and price of the lens.
