Kaspersky Lab increased its share in the MyOffice software developer

IT-company "Kaspersky Lab" increased its share in the Russian developer of the line of office software "MyOffice" from 47% to 61.5%. According to Andrey Cheglakov, the head of the board of directors of MyOffice, the transaction should not affect the activities of MyOffice. The company will continue to work in the former part of the market and in accordance with the long-term development strategy.

It follows from the Interfax data that part of their shares in New Cloud Technologies (the MyOffice software vendor) was sold by the company's founders, MyOffice CEO Dmitry Komissarov and the already mentioned Chairman of the Board of Directors Andrey Cheglakov. Now their shares in the company have been reduced to 5% and 20%, respectively. The participants did not disclose the amount of the transaction.

The New Cloud Technologies company was registered in 2013 and is the developer of the MyOffice office software package, the MyOffice Mail email client, the MyOffice Private Cloud cloud document collaboration solution, and a number of other products. MyOffice products are included in the unified register of domestic software certified by the FSTEC and the Ministry of Defense for compliance with information security requirements. In addition, at the end of 2021, it launched the mail system for large corporate customers Mailion. Almost 430 million rubles were invested in the development of this system.

The New Cloud Technologies company itself positions its solutions for corporate market segments.

Kaspersky Lab entered the capital of New Cloud Technologies in 2019, its share was 29.5%, and in 2020 it increased to 47%. Now the share of the company is 61%. Back in April 2021, Kaspersky Lab CEO Evgeny Kaspersky said that his company would consider increasing its stake in New Cloud Technologies. But on the condition that in 2021 it does not reach self-sufficiency.

It follows from the financial statements that in 2019 the revenue of New Cloud Technologies amounted to 773 million rubles, in 2020 it decreased to 460 million rubles. The company's net loss increased from 300 million rubles to 1.4 billion rubles (for years, respectively). In 2021, according to the MyOffice software developer, revenue doubled, and the number of clients exceeded 2,400 organizations. But the company's financial statements for 2021 have not yet been published.
