Specialists of the analytical company UBI Research summed up the results of the last year in the AMOLED panel market. According to their calculations, small displays (less than 10 inches) sold 746 million units in a year. This is 34.4% more than in 2020, when sales amounted to 555 million units. Analysts said the growth was driven by increased sales of Apple iPhones and more widespread adoption of foldable panels.

In terms of revenue, the market grew 43.9% from $26.5 billion in 2020 to $38.1 billion in 2021.

More than 10 million smartphones with foldable AMOLED displays were shipped in 2021, according to UBI Research. According to the forecast, by 2026 the mark of 100 million pieces will be exceeded.
