Twitch has banned streamers from turning body parts into green screens for broadcasting.

Twitch has introduced new rules that restrict streamers from broadcasting on intimate parts of the body. We are talking about long-term emphasis on intimate places.

The decision was a targeted response to the growing popularity of showing gameplay on parts of your body with a green screen. Usually this is the breasts or buttocks.

The topic was popularized by streamer Morgpie, who had previously been banned from Twitch for almost topless streaming. Back on the platform, she streamed Fortnite gameplay wearing briefs and a low-cut green top.

Other users have also shown gameplay on various parts of the body, but after the rules are updated, such activity will become a violation that will result in a ban.

Last December, Twitch relaxed its adult content policies. The new rules allowed artists to draw nude characters and streamers to perform explicit dances, as long as their channels had a corresponding label warning viewers.

However, in January, Twitch changed its policy again to ban implied nudity. The decision came when Morpie and other streamers began broadcasting from angles that suggested they weren't wearing clothes.

The updated rules come into force on March 29. It will only be a matter of time before streamers find a new way to get around the restriction, the Verge editor summarizes.
