The American nongovernmental organization EcoHealth Alliance conducted coronavirus research in a number of laboratories in the United States and Wuhan, China before the first outbreak. Project Veritas has learned about it, reports the OpIndia portal.

Investigators found out that back in March 2018, EcoHealth Alliance approached the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), asking for funding for scientific research on bat-borne coronaviruses. The agency denied this request, considering such work too dangerous.

Despite this, the US National Institute of Allergic and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), which is now headed by the White House chief medical adviser Anthony Fauci, approved the project and scientists began research, including at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China.

Project Veritas had at its disposal a letter from a certain Major Joseph Murphy, who works for DARPA. In it, he allegedly claims that SARS-CoV-2 was originally a US-made recombinant bat vaccine. He also says that all the details about the program of work on the virus were hidden after the infection began to spread around the world.

Earlier it was reported that a group of scientists found evidence of a COVID-19 virus leak from a laboratory in Wuhan, China in 2019.
