According to the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs, a 43-year-old resident of the Lazo district was released from the colony, where he served time for theft. According to the court decision, the man had to regularly report to the police. However, he did not like this prospect, and he preferred to hide from law enforcement officers in the remote taiga. There, the fugitive built a house and began to live in it with a friend.

But the "hermit" did not give up his former occupation. For three years he robbed country houses located nearby.

“Inventory, power tools, household appliances, utensils, clothes, and food became prey. He used all this for personal purposes.

During the search, the police found large stocks of food, many electronic devices and even someone else's passport in his home. All this is planned to be returned to the owners. The amount of damage was estimated at about 250 thousand rubles.

Criminal cases were initiated against the detainee under part 2 of article 158 "Theft". He will await trial in custody.
