The number of hospitalizations per day amounted to 18,597 people and decreased by 3.55% compared to the previous day, the headquarters for combating coronavirus infection reported.

As of February 12, a decrease in the number of hospitalizations was noted in 36 regions, the situation remained unchanged in one region, and increased in 48 regions.

Over the past day, 112,658 people recovered from COVID-19, which is 0.4% more than on February 11, 2022. 203,766 new cases were recorded, most of the cases were detected in Moscow (1377) and the Moscow region (939). During the day, 729 people died.

Earlier, virologist Anatoly Altshtein, MD, said that the fifth wave of coronavirussia could end closer to summer. In his opinion, a decline in the incidence will be observed in February-March.
