Medical examination of foreigners who come to Russia for a long period of time should be mandatory, said Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation. It is reported by TASS.
“In the current epidemiological situation, the issues of medical examination of foreigners who enter our country for a sufficiently long period of time are of particular importance,” Medvedev emphasized during a meeting on additional measures for the integration and adaptation of migrants in Russian society.
According to the deputy chairman of the Security Council, it is important that those who come to the Russian Federation do not turn out to be a source of socially dangerous and infectious diseases.
Medvedev also admits that the approach to different categories of migrants should be flexible and differentiated. We are talking about highly qualified specialists and people without qualifications coming to work in Russia.
“Here, too, there is something to think about. We need to analyze the situation, make these procedures comfortable, reasonable, but, of course, obligatory for everyone,” Medvedev said.
Earlier, the head of the Kaluga region, Vladislav Shapsha, banned migrants from obtaining simplified citizenship. At the same time, migrants will have to report to the police for fake certificates of Russian language proficiency.
