In one of the Russian regions, a mother of many children was unable to receive maternity capital. The reason was the letter "ё" in the name of her daughter. It is reported by REN TV.

In 2017, a resident of the city of Chelyabinsk gave birth to her third child and applied to the UPFR to obtain a certificate for maternity capital.

But the foundation's experts found a discrepancy in the spelling of the names of three children in birth certificates. In the documents in their surnames, the spelling of the letters "ё" and "e" differed. The certificate was refused.

Lawyer Timur Matveev pointed out to the publication that such situations often occur in the legal field. They can be solved through the change of documents or through the court.

Earlier it was reported that in Russia since February 1, a part of social payments, benefits and compensations has increased by 8.4%. Earlier, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a corresponding decree.
