In the east of Moscow, two eight-month-old twin boys were found in an emaciated state in a cluttered apartment. The children were seized by the guardianship authorities and are in a hospital in a serious condition, a criminal case has been initiated against the parents. Family acquaintances said that the children's mother was a "good and helpful person", but her life went downhill because of alcohol.

“The whole family drinks”

Eight-month-old twin boys found in a cluttered apartment on Plekhanov Street in Moscow were hospitalized - doctors found that they had not been fed for some time, and one of the children was suffocating when he was discovered . In relation to the parents, who at the time of the visit of the guardianship authorities were in the apartment in a state of intoxication, a criminal case was initiated under Art. 105, 156, 117 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted murder, improper performance of duties for the upbringing of a minor, torture).

The boys' parents are Tatyana Borovaya and Mikhail Lyakhovich. In total, ten children were brought up in the family. Recently, only twins lived in the apartment - eight other children were taken to a boarding school due to improper performance of parental duties.

According to Maria, a friend of the mother of the babies, Borovaya and Lyakhovich could never be called exemplary parents. According to the interlocutor of the publication, they systematically abused alcohol and were in an unfavorable financial situation.

“We went to the same school, we live in the same area. I am, of course, shocked by this situation. Her children were taken away from her more than once - ten of them, eight were taken to an orphanage in 2020, and about eight months ago she again gave birth to these twin boys. I gave her things, gave food, helped. Their family is far from being of average income, besides, they both drink, ”she said.

The woman also clarified that Borovaya is also from a large family - she has several sisters and a brother. At the same time, parents and almost all children are dependent on alcohol.

“The whole family drinks with her — mother, sisters. But the children were not taken from them. Brother [Tatiana] died - the only one who did not drink was an athlete, ”shared Maria.

“I have known her for a long time - 18 years for sure. At one time, she helped me find housing, sat with the baby when I just gave birth. She had two children at that time and she was pregnant with the third, ”the interlocutor recalled.

The friend also clarified that the ten children that Tatyana Borovaya gave birth to have several fathers who do not help either her or the children.

Mary confirmed this. According to her, when Tatyana does not drink, her house is always clean, and the children are well-groomed and fed.

Borova's life went downhill when she started living with Lyakhovich, Maria claims.

“As a person, she is kind and sympathetic - out of sobriety. I can't say anything bad about her. As soon as she began to live with this Misha, he is a drinker, so it started with her. From him, she seems to have six children, the last ones are definitely his - these and previous twins. They have been together for seven years, ”she added.

Both acquaintances of Borova believe that the decision of custody to take the children is the right one, since their mother cannot control her alcohol addiction, and also did not make any attempts to return other children, but continued to give birth.

“When a person drinks, he loses a sense of responsibility: to educate, feed, play with children. And Tatyana will not have time to give birth - so she is pregnant again, ”said Maria.

“She has a drinking environment, and it affects her a lot. It is not clear why she gives birth to so many, it was possible to try to pick up the previous ones first.

The only thing we hear about her is that she is giving birth - the children are taken away, ”added Natalia.

Attempt to murder and torture

According to the investigation, from the end of May 2021 to February 2022, the spouses Borovaya and Lyakhovich systematically inflicted physical, mental and moral suffering on their young children, which led to the exhaustion of minors and the emergence their grave state of health.

During the joint interrogation of the parents, the video of which was published by the press service of the Moscow Prosecutor's Office, Borovaya assured that she was taking care of the children and did not know how to prove it to law enforcement officers. When asked why they were in an emaciated state, the woman replied that it was because of a congenital heart disease.

The father of two babies, in turn, during interrogation could not remember the age of other children.

“Do you know the names and dates of birth of your children?” the policeman asks. "Oleska - January 21 ... Artem - March 1," the father answers. The law enforcement officer in response reminds the man that his son was born on January 10.
