The first train with 266 residents of the DPR and LPR arrived in the Samara region

The first train to the Samara region delivered 266 people who were evacuated from the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics (DNR and LNR). It is reported by TASS.

It is reported that the train arrived in Togliatti at 01:35 Moscow time.

The arrivals will be sent to accommodation points: the Kolos sanatorium (Kinel-Cherkassky district), the Kosmos-2 camp (Krasnoyarsk district), the Volzhanka recreation center (Volzhsky village) and the Dubki recreation center (Samara, Democratic Street).

Residents of Donbass will be helped to resolve organizational issues, conduct PCR testing for coronavirus infection, and provide legal assistance.

IDPs will be provided with mobile communications and free internet.

On February 23, it was reported that more than 100 thousand refugees from Donbass crossed the border with Russia.

Over 775,000 residents of Donbass applied for and received Russian citizenship. About 110 thousand people have applied for Russian passports, and they are in the process of registration.

On February 18, the leaders of the self-proclaimed DPR and LPR, amid the growing threat of hostilities, announced the evacuation of the inhabitants of the republics to Russia, initially to the Rostov region. Soon, a number of Russian regions declared their readiness to receive and accommodate refugees.
