Tyumen authorities banned foreigners from working in the field of transport in 2022

The Governor of the Tyumen Region, Alexander Moor, signed a decree according to which, starting next year, foreign citizens will not be able to work in the transport sector of the region, including in a taxi, under a patent. The document was published on the portal of legal information.

"To establish for 2022 a ban on the attraction of foreign citizens, carrying out labor activities on the basis of patents, by economic entities carrying out land passenger transport in the Tyumen region: transportation of passengers in urban and suburban traffic, the operation of passenger taxis and rented cars with a driver, transport and transportation services, ”the decree says.

Employers who employ migrants in these areas of work will have to bring the number of employees "in line" with the decree by March 1 of next year.

According to Tyumenstat data cited by Kommersant, the region's population increased by 9.1 thousand people over the year - up to 1.55 million people, as well as the migration flow. So, over the seven months of this year, 30.8 thousand people came to the Tyumen region, and over the past year - 27 thousand.

Earlier it became known that from October 1, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has the right to deport migrants who, for whatever reason, will not have time to regulate their status of stay in Russia. Now in the Russian Federation there are about 7 million migrants, among whom there are "a small number of illegal". The category of foreigners who, after September 30, does not regulate their status of residence, will fall under the provisions of Federal Law No. 115.
