From January to December, inspectors of the Moscow State Automobile Inspectorate, together with bailiffs, brought to justice about 340 thousand traffic offenders who did not pay fines on time, according to the official website of the Moscow State Traffic Safety Inspectorate.

“For 11 months of 2021, the employees of the traffic police units compiled more than 337 thousand administrative materials under Part 1 of Article 20.25 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation“ Evasion of the execution of administrative punishment, ”the Moscow State Automobile Inspectorate noted.

The traffic police recalled that untimely payment of the fine (later than 60 days from the date of entry into force of the resolution) threatens the offender with a fine in double the amount owed, but not less than 1 thousand rubles, administrative arrest for up to fifteen days, or compulsory work for up to fifty hours.

The State Traffic Inspectorate emphasized that the driver's unpaid fines are checked not only when a traffic police officer stops him, but also when performing registration and examination actions in the traffic police departments.
