A decrease in the number of cases of coronavirus and active vaccination of the population may lead to the fact that the requirements for QR codes can be removed by spring. This was announced to the radio station "Moscow speaking" by the chairman of the State Duma committee on industry and trade Vladimir Gutenev.

“I think that now we have managed to radically change the number of people vaccinated. We see that we have a steady decline in both the number of infections and the number of deaths, which cannot but rejoice, ”Gutenev said.

The politician noted that by "March-April" the regions may enter "normal mode", and the requirements for QR codes "will dissipate by themselves."

Prior to that, the Council of the Duma withdrew from consideration the bill on QR codes in transport.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova emphasized that the project to introduce QR codes does not limit the rights of Russians. According to her, the bill is related to the procedure for the provision of services against the background of an epidemiological rise, when it is necessary to save life in the region. Also, QR codes, as Golikova noted, will ensure the operation of all systems and reduce the incidence of coronavirus.
