The coaching staff of the Russian national team has decided on the final composition of hockey players for participation in the Olympic Games in Beijing, the press service of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (FHR) reports.
The women's hockey tournament at the Olympics will be held from 3 to 17 February. Before its start, the Russian team will play two control matches with the teams of the Czech Republic (January 29) and China (January 31).

goalkeepers - Diana Farkhutdinova (Dynamo Neva), Maria Sorokina (Agidel), Daria Gredzen (Biryusa);
defenders - Angelina Goncharenko, Elena Provorova (both - SKIF), Ekaterina Nikolaeva (Dynamo-Neva), Maria Pechnikova, Anna Shibanova (both - Agidel), Nina Pirogova, Anna Savonina (both - Tornado);
forwards - Lyudmila Belyakova, Elena Dergacheva, Anna Shokhina (all - Tornado), Polina Bolgareva, Alexandra Vafina, Fanuza Kadirova (all - Dynamo-Neva), Oksana Bratishcheva, Victoria Kulishova (both - SKIF), Ekaterina Dobrodeeva, Valeria Pavlova (both Biryusa), Veronika Korzhakova, Ilona Markova, Olga Sosina (all Agidel).
The reserve list of the team includes goalkeeper Valeria Merkusheva (SKIF), defender Liana Ganeeva (Dynamo Neva) and forward Polina Luchnikova (Agidel).
At the group stage, the Russian team will play with the teams of Switzerland (February 4), USA (February 5), Canada (February 7) and Finland (February 8).
