VTsIOM: Most Russians consider the investigation against figure skater Valieva biased

Russia (bbabo.net), - VTsIOM specialists found that more than 60% of Russians consider the anti-doping investigation that WADA is conducting against the Russian single skater Kamila Valieva to be biased. Mikhail Mamonov, head of the VTsIOM political analysis practice, spoke about this at a round table organized by the Expert Institute for Social Research (EISI).

Most of the respondents - 77% - heard about the presence of a prohibited drug in the doping test of an athlete. At the same time, 62% called the investigation biased.

As for doping in Russian sports, 57% of respondents believe that our athletes do not use illegal drugs or do it less often than others. The answer "more often than others" was given by only 2%.

The majority of Russians - 66% - follow the competitions in Beijing, the most actively watching broadcasts and reading news about the Olympics are Russians over 60 years old - 85%.
