The number of followers of Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva on Instagram has increased by more than 4.5 times since the start of the 2022 Olympics in Beijing, RIA Novosti reports.
On February 4, more than 208 thousand people signed up for the athlete's account on the social network. Now the figure has approached a million: 950 thousand people are following the skater.
It should be noted that on February 11, the International Testing Agency officially confirmed that Valieva's doping test of December 25 gave a positive result for the banned trimetazidine.
After all the trials, the 15-year-old figure skater was allowed to compete in individual competitions, but she failed to win a medal in singles, while earlier she became the champion of the 2022 Games in the team tournament.
