Putin urged the media to pay more attention to the Paralympics in Beijing

Russia (bbabo.net) - Russian President Vladimir Putin believes that the media should pay attention to the Paralympic competitions, which will start in Beijing on March 4.

On Monday, the head of state held a meeting via video link with members of the Russian Paralympic team. One of the participants, sledge hockey player Dmitry Lisov, asked for help with broadcasts so that the XIII Paralympic Games would be covered in Russia "as extensively" as the Olympics that ended yesterday.

"I agree absolutely," the president replied. "The media should pay attention to what is happening at the competitions in Beijing and within the framework of the Paralympic program. This is important."

Putin is confident that this Paralympic competition will be watched with interest by millions of their fans in Russia.
