Real Madrid student agrees to move to Barcelona

Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso will continue his career at Barcelona. The 31-year-old has already asked the English club before his transfer to the Catalan club.

Alonso agreed with the "blue garnet" contract under the scheme "2+1". His transfer will cost Barcelona 10 million euros. This is due to the imminent expiration of the agreement between the player and Chelsea, informs Mundo Deportivo.

Alonso will thus be Barcelona's sixth signing this off-season after Frank Kessier and Andreas Christensen (free agents), as well as Rafinha (Leeds), Robert Lewandowski (Bayern) and Jules Kunde (Sevilla).

Alonso returns to Spain after 12 years. In 2010, he moved from the academy of Real Madrid, of which he is a pupil, to the English side Bolton.
